1. Who we are

Pulless ("we", "us", "our") operates pulless.com, an AI-powered job application tool that helps you tailor your resume to job descriptions and track applications. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data we collect

Account data — your name and email address, obtained when you sign in with Google.

Resume content — the resume text you upload or paste. This is stored to provide the tailoring service.

Job descriptions — job postings you add to the platform so we can tailor your resume and analyse the role.

Usage data — AI usage per feature, used to monitor service costs and enforce fair-use limits.

Career context — optional additional context you provide (e.g. career goals, preferences) to improve AI output quality.

Billing data — if you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details; we store only your plan, subscription status, billing period, and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers. We never see or store your full card number.

To authenticate your account and maintain sessions
To track and enforce monthly AI usage limits per plan
To process subscription payments and manage your plan
To communicate important service updates (no marketing emails without consent)

4. Browser extension

Pulless offers a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. When you use the extension:

Tab content — the extension reads the text content of the active browser tab when you click "Import". This text is sent to Pulless servers solely to create and analyse the job record. No other tab content is accessed.
Tab URL — the current page URL is stored with the job record so duplicate imports can be detected and the job can be linked to its source.
Local session token — to authenticate your Pulless account the extension stores a session token in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). This token is never readable by web pages and is used only to make authenticated requests to Pulless. You can revoke it by signing out or reinstalling the extension.

The extension does not read browsing history, passwords, form data, or content from pages you have not explicitly imported.

5. Third-party services

AI providers — your resume and job description content is sent to our AI provider to generate output. This data is processed subject to the provider's own privacy policy.

Google OAuth — used for sign-in only. We receive your name and email; we do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google data.

Stripe — our payment processor for paid subscriptions. Your card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe subject to their privacy policy; we do not store full card numbers.

Vercel — our hosting provider. Traffic and server logs may be processed by Vercel subject to their privacy policy.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time directly from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all your personal data, resumes, job applications, and associated records are removed from our systems instantly.

7. Data security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS, and our database provider encrypts data at rest and in transit. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel. We do not sell your data to third parties.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from Settings. For other requests, contact us at support@pulless.com.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
